Euro Coins Collection
A personal project to track and visualize euro coins by country, year, and denomination — including commemorative €2 issues.
The collection started in 2018 and has since grown to over two thousand coins. There's no specific goal — hunting is simply something I enjoy, especially hunting coin rolls and bags.
Collecting style
I am more of a coin hunter than a traditional collector. This collection follows a few strict rules:
- –I collect coins only from circulation, UNC rolls at face value, or direct swaps with others.
- –I do not buy coins from dealers or online marketplaces for this collection.
- –However, I don't restrict myself from paying fees to get rolls or fees to manage a swap or meetup.
- –All euro trades are strictly equal face value on both sides — I don't pay any premiums. No exceptions. Ever. Not because I am stingy, but because I have a collecting rule, no buying, and this is buying.
- –I am also able to offer some non-Euro coins for trades, just ask.
- –I do not accept coins from sets or special packaging that were not circulated. NIFC rolls are fine. Also circulated NIFCs are fine.
- –I sometimes buy bargains or other items, but those coins are part of a different collection and are not listed here.
Trading
I keep most U5M, most issues from the latest years, all NIFC, and all microstate duplicates for trading.
- –Since Slovak Post drastically increased shipping costs and worsened conditions, mail trades are done only occasionally.
- –I strongly prefer in-person trades. I am located in Bratislava, but can do trades in other places nearby.
- –I usually trade like for like: regulars for regulars, commemoratives for commemoratives, microstates for microstates, and NIFC for NIFC — but I am always open to discussion.
Mintages
I love data. I hate it when some countries do not share mintage data. Shame on those who don't wish to share mintage data from Ireland, France, and Vatican City. You are making my autism worse than it actually is.
Anyway, huge thanks to the community on the Euro Coins Discord Server, thanks to whom I have sources for mintages from numerous countries. The community list is much more precise. My mintage data can differ in tens of thousands, but I don't care.

I also keep smaller collections of banknotes and world coins, but euro coins remain my main focus. I also have a collection of eurocoins that I bought as bargains, but they are not displayed here.
Future Plans
Currently no major goal, just to keep collecting and enjoying the hobby. But hopefully I can reach 3000 coins by the end of 2026 :D. The app, however, needs many updates and fixes; hopefully, by small steps, I can keep improving it.
